Cable Tarp Systems, Cable Driven Tarping Systems or Sliding Bow Tarp Systems are often referred to by the various names given by the different manufacturers; Crank-N-Go (Aero), Panel Tarp (Merlot), Tarp-N-Go (Mountain Tarp) or Super Slider (Pulltarps). Each of these systems, from an operational standpoint, function similarly. That is, they each utilize a series of pulleys and cables to “drive” the tarp forward to uncover the load or backward to cover the load. The drive mechanism may be manual or electric and the tarp itself can be made of a mesh, vinyl or asphalt material and is available in a variety of colors. Cable Driven Tarp Systems are used more commonly on Dump Trailers, but are right at home on Dump Trucks as well. Typical applications include; asphalt, sand, gravel, sludge, trash and construction debris. These systems can even be modified to be used in stationary applications over holding tanks or cans that require frequent access. Mountain Tarp has developed an exceptionally well built Sliding Bow Tarp System at a very affordable price. The Tarp-N-Go is available in three system configurations; Anti-Pollution Mesh, Semi-Waterproof Vinyl or Side Drop Vinyl. All three systems come standard with Stainless Steel Cable, K-Bar Front Shaft Support, Pre-Assembled Components and Memory Strip Tarp Inserts. The Tarp-N-Go is overbuilt and designed for the most difficult environments!
The Merlot Panel Tarp offers the exclusive and patented “Panel Tarp” design that virtually eliminates downtime and expensive repairs. In the event of damage to the tarp, individual “panels” can be easily and quickly removed and replaced in lieu of replacing the entire tarp. This saves hours of labor and expense. The Panel Tarp also features removable bow ends that eliminate the need for removing the cable to change panels. Simply pull out the bow end and the panel is replaced in less than 30 minutes! The Panel Tarp is available in manual or electric drives with a variety of color options or combinations in vinyl or mesh.
Aero Manufacturing’s Crank-N-Go features an attractive aluminum lightweight front assembly, adjustable rear idlers, and a new anti-lift device that keeps the tarp secure. Plus Crank-N-Go’s Front Assembly “Dual Idler” Design promotes maximum cable grip preventing drive cable slippage, this is ideal for longer system applications.
